Our Social Security Number tracing provides you unique information resources to help verify identity and detect fraudulent or deceptive applications
Employment Background Solutions gives you access to Social Security Number based searches to detect falsified information, identity theft or intentionally misleading applicant information.
In a recent survey of 2.6 million job applications:
- 44% lied about their work experience,
- 23% fabricated their credentials or professional licenses and
- 41% falsified their educational background
Employment Background Solutions brings to you access to a wide variety of Social Security Number (SSN) database solutions for you to choose from. All designed to meet your specific needs and help you detect fraud.
These searches will track when a SSN was issued, from what state and during what years. Additionally the past address record of your applicant can be available and it can even check if that number is currently in the Social Security Death Index (SSDI). We can also offer searches to see if other names or alias names are associated to that SSN.
SSN based searches serve as a core search product. They provide the first level of adjudication of adverse criminal records and help serve as a pointer index of what other states to search for criminal records. When used in conjunction with a "Multi-State" criminal search it can link your applicant to undisclosed criminal convictions from another state, based on a past known address of record from that jurisdiction and common time frame.
This search is used as a foundational search in our search packages and is used for a variety of tasks.
Note: It does not replace your obligation under the Immigration and Reform Control Act of 1986 requiring employers to complete an I-9 form for employees hired after November 6, 1986 or use of the E-Verify system.
